There are usually only two types of heat exchangers: a non-condensing heat exchanger and a condensing heat exchanger.

This type of system is called radiant heating with radiant elements. It uses small ceramic devices called elements that transfer heat directly from the heater to the room. Most units only work on nights and days when there is ample sunlight, but some can also work on cloudy days. This type of radiant heating system is the most energy efficient and quietest heating system.
Boiler Heating System
Another type of heating system is the boiler. A boiler heats water, so it can then be used to create steam. Steam can then be used to provide heat to a house or an area. Boilers are especially efficient because they do not require much energy to create steam, so they do not produce a large amount of carbon dioxide.
